ONYX PURIFEX 3000

DESCRIPTION

PURIFEX 3000 is an aqueous solution of ammonium bisulphite containing a nickel catalyst.

APPLICATION

PURIFEX 3000 is used to remove dissolved oxygen from seawater injection of oil reservoirs for pressure maintenance and secondary recovery operations. It is also used to deoxygenate seawater for hydrotest and other flooding operations.

The product should be used at a slight excess over the theory amount of 8 – 10 ppm of PURIFEX 3000 for every 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen. The excess will depend on the type of deaeration towers used and their efficiency. A residual of approximately 1-2 ppm of sulphite is recommended at zero oxygen. For hydro test and other flooding operations, it should be used at 250 ppm.
